The short version. You sign in with Google. The readings you log are stored in your private HealthLens account and nobody else can see them. We never sell your data or show ads. Photos of your devices are read on your phone. Your data goes to an AI service only if you set one up and ask it to analyse your data or read a photo, and then it goes to the provider you chose, using your own key. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from inside the app.
1. Who we are
HealthLens ("we", "us") is a personal health-tracking app. Questions about this policy or your data: help@getapps.tech.

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising ID, browsing history, or any data from other apps. HealthLens has no ads and uses no advertising or marketing trackers.
3. AI features: your provider, your key
AI analysis and AI photo reading are optional and off until you set them up. When you add an AI provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Ollama, Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral or a server you run yourself):
- Your API key is encrypted with the Android Keystore and stored only on your phone. It is never sent to our servers.
- When you tap "Analyse", the readings being analysed (values, times, contexts, notes) and your goals and units are sent directly from your phone to the provider you chose.
- When AI photo reading is on and you scan a device, that photo is sent directly to your provider.
- That provider handles the data under its own terms and privacy policy, which you agreed to when you created your key. Check their data-retention settings if that matters to you. Self-hosted options such as Ollama keep everything on your own machine.
4. How we use your data
Only to run HealthLens for you: storing and syncing your readings, reminders, charts, pattern analysis and account. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to train AI models.
5. Service providers
- Supabase: database and authentication hosting. Your data is stored in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai, India) region.
- Google: Sign in with Google (Google Identity Services), and on-device text recognition (ML Kit through Google Play services).
- Sentry: crash reporting, as described above.
These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.
6. Security
- All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Row-level security in our database means each account can read and change only its own rows.
- AI keys are encrypted on your device with the Android Keystore.
- App data is excluded from Android cloud backups.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can:
- Export your readings as a CSV file (Settings → Export CSV).
- Delete single readings (swipe left in History).
- Delete your account (Settings → Delete account). This immediately and permanently deletes your account, readings, reminders, profile and AI insights from our database and from your phone. Residual copies in our hosting provider's encrypted backups expire automatically on its backup schedule (normally within 30 days).

8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's DPDP Act 2023, the EU/UK GDPR or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. Most of this is built into the app. For anything else, email help@getapps.tech and we'll respond within 30 days.
9. Children
HealthLens is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Not medical advice
HealthLens provides general wellness information. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your results, and seek emergency care if you feel unwell.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before they take effect. See also our Terms of Use.
